Description
Device for determining the thermal stability of nitrocellulose and other nitro compounds according to the Methyl Violet test per MIL-STD-286C at 120 °C and 134.5 °C, NATO STANAG 4178 (Test 6).
Scope of delivery
- Heavy aluminum heating block (24 bores Ø 19 mm, depth 280 mm), ISO insulation plate, PT100 sensor, over-temperature protection (150 °C)
- Programmable PID controller in a separate control box (control accuracy ±0.1 °C, RT to 135 °C)
- 24 test tubes with cork stopper and stainless-steel hook (outer Ø 18 mm, inner Ø 15 mm, length 290 mm)
- 200 methyl violet papers for the detection of nitrous gases
